YOUTH MINISTRY

Youth Ministry is our church's religious education and ministry for your youth!  This includes youth that are in sixth through twelfth grades.

 

Saint Therese Catholic Church strives to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community, and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

 

CONFIRMATION AT OUR CHURCH

Those who were baptized in infancy continue on their journey toward full Christian initiation through the Sacrament of Confirmation. In this sacrament, the confirmandi ratify their baptismal promises, "are enriched by the gift of the Holy Spirit...[and the sacrament] strengthens them and obliges them more firmly to be witnesses to Christ by word and deed and to spread and defend the faith" (Canon #879).  

 

• Be a baptized Catholic, and turn in copies of their Baptism and First Communion certificates.

• Be in ninth grade or above.

• Have been enrolled in Youth Ministry for at least one year prior.

• Enrolled in Youth Ministry.

• Attend all Confirmation classes.

• Must actively attend Mass on weekends.
